Your day starts with a visit to the magnificent summer residence of Russian royalty at Peterhof. Choose from one of the following included Scenic FreeChoice activities: (1) enjoy a guided tour of Catherine’s Block and the fountains in the Lower Garden (2) an orientation tour of the Grand Palace, followed by a walk through its magnificent gardens (3) or a guided tour of the Palace’s majestic fountain, including both the Upper and Lower Gardens. Afterwards you’ll enjoy lunch in a local restaurant followed by a city tour.
Today’s Scenic FreeChoice activities are: (1) a guided visit to St. Isaac’s Cathedral (2) or a tour of the 19th century Yusupov Palace. Following lunch in a local restaurant you’ll visit the Hermitage, formerly the Winter Palace and home of the Tsars. Today it houses one of the world’s greatest art collections. Tonight celebrate with your fellow travellers at the Captain’s Welcome Dinner.
This morning visit Catherine’s Palace, famous for its grandiose white and gold façade and elaborate gardens. Today, experience two Scenic Enrich activities. Scenic Enrich: Enjoy a highlight lunch at the old-world wooden ‘Podvorie’ restaurant. Here you will be offered traditional Russian cuisine with all products and wine home-grown from the restaurant owner’s private summer residence. This afternoon enjoy time at leisure. Scenic Enrich: In the evening you will be treated to a glass of sparkling wine followed by a private Russian ballet concert at the Palace of Prince Vladimir. The Palace was the last Imperial palace to be built in St. Petersburg.
This morning we’ll enjoy a cruise through the city’s canals and glide under some of the city’s 400 bridges, while admiring its historic monuments and landmarks.
Your ship arrives in the museum village of Mandrogi, on the banks of river Svir. Scenic Enrich: It’s all ashore to explore this charming summer resort; you will have the opportunity to try Shashlik, a traditional meal similar to shish kebab.
This morning your ship docks at Kizhi Island; the island hosts some of Russia’s most amazing architecture. Visit the museum and see the incredible onion domes of the Church of Transfiguration.
Today we visit the Kirillo-Belozersky monastery, built in 1397 and home to an impressive collection of Russian Orthodox icons. As the ship set sails this afternoon, sample the beverage that has been integral to Russian culture for over 600 years, vodka.
Today you enjoy an included city tour of the magnificent city of Yarolslavl; founded in 1010 it is older than Moscow. See the magnificent Church of Elias the Prophet, which is also a World Heritage Site.
Take an included walking tour of historic Uglich, part of the Golden Ring of cities around Moscow.
Relax on-board as you sail towards Moscow. Arriving after lunch, you’ll set out on a city exploration. You will visit Red Square and enjoy a tour of the most well-known icon in Russia, St. Basil’s Cathedral. This afternoon you’ll enjoy your Scenic Sundowner experience where you’ll enjoy a refreshing cocktail as you cruise along the Moskva River, admiring Moscow’s fine sights and architecture.
This morning you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the city before taking a ride on Moscow’s Metro, which is considered to be one of the best subway systems in the world. After lunch in a local restaurant you can explore the city at your own pace, or return to relax on your ship. Tonight you’ll enjoy a spectacular show at an internationally renowned circus.
Your day starts with a special Scenic Enrich experience where you’ll visit the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics. You’ll have the opportunity to meet a real cosmonaut and discover the history of space exploration, including original models of space technology, history and art. Afterwards you’ll enjoy lunch in the city. This afternoon you have two Scenic FreeChoice activities to choose from: (1) a trip to the State Tretyakov gallery, a world-famous museum housing a unique collection of Russian art (2) or visit the Museum of Armed Forces where you’ll have the opportunity to see a vast collection of Russian military memorabilia.
This morning you’ll visit the Kremlin, seat of the former Soviet Union’s intrigue. In the State Armoury, you’ll see priceless weaponry, jewels, and ceremonial robes. This evening you’ll witness a thrilling National Russian Show performed by fifty folk dancers (not available on all departures).
