Today you can choose one of the following included Scenic FreeChoice activities: (1) a sightseeing canal cruise through the city’s 17th century architecture in a glass-top boat (2) or travel to North Holland’s seaside village of Volendam, stopping also in Edam to sample the delicacies of its namesake. Alternatively, you may wish to take advantage of your Scenic Tailormade device and explore Amsterdam’s sights independently. Learn about Amsterdam’s Jewish heritage from the 16th Century until Nazi occupation or you may prefer to explore the city’s culture, cuisine and rich history and marvel at its architectural legacy. Historic Cologne is the fourth largest city in Germany. Cologne is a city where history, tradition, art and culture mix with characteristic Rhineland charm and people famous for their zest for life. Its refreshing local beer, Kôlsch, is not to be missed. Famous for its grand cathedral, you can explore the city of Cologne on foot during a guided city tour, seeing many of its impressive sights including ancient Roman walls and medieval churches. This evening you’ll relax with a cocktail in hand during your Scenic Sundowner experience in one of Cologne’s most picturesque locations.
Welcome to Koblenz, filled with traditional German charm. The town’s abundance of cultural monuments and historic buildings, cosy lanes and narrow alleyways, and the relaxed and happy atmosphere of its squares and river promenades make Koblenz a friendly town where its guests feel right at home. Today choose from one of the following included Scenic FreeChoice options: (1) join a guided tour of Koblenz, situated on both banks of the Rhine and at its confluence with the Moselle River (2) or enter the breath-taking lower Moselle Valley to discover the treasures of this spectacular region, including a visit to Cochem and the superb medieval Reichsburg Castle. This afternoon, why not sit back with a cool drink on the sun deck of your Scenic ‘Space-Ship’ as we sail through the famous Rhine Gorge? Be sure to have your camera ready to capture the spectacular scenery, with its stunning vistas of castles sitting high above steep vine-covered slopes, as we head for Rüdesheim.
All aboard the ‘Winzerexpress’ this morning bound for Siegfrieds Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, where you’ll enjoy an included guided tour of the many rooms of this fabulous museum complete with demonstrations. Then take a cable car ride to the Niederwald Monument, perched 250 metres above the Rhine River offering stunning panoramas of the local scenery. Alternatively, explore this charming town independently with your personal Scenic Tailormade device. Enjoy an on-board wine tasting event this afternoon.

Today, your included Scenic FreeChoice activities are: (1) a walking tour of Strasbourg through its picturesque centre (2) wine tasting in the pretty Alsatian village of Mittelbergheim (3) ‘Shop with a Chef’ - visit a local food market and enjoy the assistance of your ship’s chef when tasting and picking out some of the best local ingredients (4) or step inside the setting of the fable, Hansel and Gretel, on your tour to the spectacularly beautiful Black Forest region in Germany.
