Day 1: Depart UK - Lima
Fly with British Airways from London Heathrow. Selected regional airports also available for a supplement of £95 per person. Arrive late evening and transfer to your hotel.
Three Night Stay: Lima


Day 2: Lima (FB)
Today enjoy a walking tour with your local guide, in the Colonial historic centre of the city, a former capital of the Conquistadors and a World Heritage site. Tonight meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

Day 3: Lima (FB,L)
Today is a SCENIC FREE CHOICE day where you can choose from the following inclusions: (1) Tour Pachacamac Ruins and see the Temple of the Sun God; or (2) Take a historical journey through Lima’s past visiting the Huaca Huallamarca ruins, the amazing Larco Herrera Museum and the Monastery of San Francisco. Tonight enjoy a private cocktail party with your Tour Director and fellow travellers and enjoy a private tour briefing.

Day 4: Lima - Sacred Valley (FB,HL)
This morning transfer to the airport for your included flight to Cuzco. On arrival you will transfer to the breathtaking Sacred Valley of the Incas. A highlight today is a visit to Hacienda Huayocarri set in a spectacular location overlooking the valley where the owners have a history spanning over three centuries. Enjoy a typical Andean lunch, prepared from the Hacienda’s own produce. Transfer to Tamba del Inka hotel in Urubumba, a member of the Starwood Luxury Collection, located in the heart of the Sacred Valley.

Day 5: Sacred Valley (FB,D)
This morning your expert local guide will take you on a walking tour of the town of Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the Americas. Your tour includes a visit to the imposing Incan fortress overlooking the town. Later visit the community supported by Scenic Tours. Meet the students and teachers at the local school and learn about their lives. Return to your hotel for some time at leisure before enjoying dinner in the hotel.

Day 6: Sacred Valley (FB,L)
Today is a SCENIC FREE CHOICE hoice day where you can choose from the following inclusions: (1) Visit the town of Pisac, tour the Inca ruins overlooking the town, wander through the colourful local markets and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant; or (2) Travel to Maras and see the Inca salt mines, then visit the ruins of Moray and enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch; or (3) Visit the typical Andean village of Chinchero, enter a local’s house, enjoy a picnic lunch and learn about the weaving techniques used to create the colourful Andean garments; or (4) Visit the local markets, bargain for fresh produce and then learn some of the Andean cooking techniques as you help your chef prepare lunch; or (5) Visit a local Peruvian Paso Horse Ranch for an insight into the breeding techniques, before witnessing a performance of horsemanship and enjoying lunch. Tonight enjoy a private performance of Andean music along with canapés and drinks.

Day 7: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu (FB,L,D)
This morning walk to the train station located at the hotel for your rail journey to Machu Picchu. A highlight of your tour is your full day visit to the ancient Inca site of Machu Picchu. Your expert local guide will share the mysteries of this “lost city of the Incas” before your lunch at Sanctuary Lodge. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the ruins at your own pace.

Day 8: Machu Picchu - Cuzco (FB)
You have the morning to explore the area at leisure including the town of Aguas Calientes and its markets. This afternoon take a rail journey to the Sacred Valley with afternoon tea served onboard the Vistadome train. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding Andes mountains from the glass ceilinged carriages. Continue to Cuzco.

Day 9: Cuzco (FB,HD)
The charming city of Cuzco is a World Heritage listed site that was a former capital of the Incas. Included this morning is a walking tour of the city centre where you will marvel at the mix of Incan, Spanish and modern architecture. Then visit the imposing fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore at your own pace. Tonight is a SCENIC FREE CHOICE Dining evening where you choose your meal from the following inclusions: (1) Local restaurant and folklore show; or (2) Fine à la carte dining at the Inka Grill; or (3) Delicious Andean fusion dinner at the Inti Raymi Restaurant; or (4) Fine dining at MAP Café.

Day 10: Cuzco (FB)
Enjoy a free day to explore this charming city at your leisure.

Day 11: Cuzco - Lake Titicaca (FB,L)
Board the Andean Explorer this morning for your first class rail journey to Puno. Exquisitely decorated in the manner of the great Pullman trains of the 1920’s, the Andean Explorer boasts a full fleet of refurbished coaches. The open-air Observation Car provides the opportunity to take photographs of the magnificent passing scenery. On arrival transfer to your hotel, located on an island in Lake Titicaca.

Day 12: Lake Titicaca - Lima (FB,L)
Lake Titicaca is one of the highest navigable lakes in the world and the largest lake on the continent of South America. Today enjoy an included excursion to the unique floating islands of Uros. Made of the totora reeds, the islands were constructed as a defensive measure to enable them to be moved should a threat arise. Your expert local guide will introduce you to the lifestyle of the Uros communities including a visit to a school on one of the islands. Transfer to the airport for your Included flight to Lima.

Day 13: Lima - Iguaçu Falls (FB,D)
Enjoy breakfast at leisure before transferring to Lima International Airport for your flight to the World Heritage listed Iguaçu Falls for a relaxing stay inside the Brazilian National Park. On arrival, transfer to your hotel where you will enjoy dinner this evening.

Day 14: Iguaçu Falls (FB,HD)
This morning take a tour of the majestic Brazilian Falls. Be awed by the views of the world’s largest waterfall with more than 275 falls. Your exciting adventure takes you through the rainforest and onto the water for a thrill you won’t forget. Travel up the river to the ‘Devil’s Throat’ and come close to the base of the ‘Three Musketeers’. The afternoon is at leisure to relax and enjoy this pristine wilderness. This morning cross the border for your tour of the Argentinean Falls. Board the ecological train and ride to the ‘Devil’s Throat’ viewpoint. The view from the top of the falls is spectacular. Transfer to the airport this afternoon for your flight to Buenos Aires.

This morning your tour will show you the sights of this beautiful city, famed as the “Paris of the Americas”. Visit the colourful district of La Boca and enjoy free time to discover the area. Then visit San Telmo district, the home of Tango. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore at your own pace. Tonight is a SCENIC FREE CHOICE Dining evening where you choose your meal from the following inclusions: (1) 'Parrilla' (Steakhouse); or (2) dinner and spectacular Tango Show; or (3) Fine dining at the elegant Le Sud Restaurant.

Day 17: Buenos Aires (FB,L)
Today is a SCENIC FREE CHOICE day where you can choose from the following inclusions: (1) Travel to the Pampas and visit a ranch to watch the Fiesta Gaucha horse show; or (2) cruise on the Tigre River and Delta; or (3) Take a walking tour to discover Eva Peron including her Mausoleum at Recoleta Cemetery; or (4) Take a behind the scenes tour of the ‘La Boca’ Football Stadium; or (5) Catch the subway and visit the El Zanjon underground tunnels to discover the hidden history of Buenos Aires.

Day 18: Buenos Aires - Rio de Janeiro (FB,HD)
This morning take an included flight to the vibrant and colourful city of Rio de Janeiro. On arrival, transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to savour the view from your balcony overlooking the beach. Tonight is a SCENIC FREE CHOICE Dining evening where you can choose from the following inclusions: (1) A typical Churrascaria where you can sample some mouth watering Brazilian cuts of meat; or (2) Visit a live Samba Music venue and sample typical Brazilian fare; or (3) Have a drink at the Girl from Ipanema Bar followed by dinner in a local seafood restaurant.

Day 19: Rio de Janeiro (FB,L)
Today your tour covers all the highlights of this vibrant city! First ride the cogwheel railway to visit Corcovado Mountain and see the famous ‘Christ the Redeemer’ Statue. Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant before riding the cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain.

Day 20: Rio de Janeiro (FB,HD)
Today is a SCENIC FREE CHOICE day where you can choose from the following inclusions: (1) Take a tour to Petropolis, the mountain retreat of Brazil’s former emperors; or (2) Take a walking tour of Downtown Rio; or (3) An open Jeep Tour of the Tijuca Forest; or (4) Tour the Favela’s (Shanty Town) and visit a community school; or (5) Schooner Cruise on Guanabara Bay.
