Following breakfast leave the bustling city behind and head south to Amboseli National Park, located beneath the tallest freestanding mountain in the world, the majestic Mt Kilimanjaro. Late this afternoon, experience a game drive through this national reserve with its wide, dry plains and where the horizons stretch into the furthest distance and become one with the sky.

The snow clad peak of Mt Kilimanjaro soars above you as you enjoy a game drive through the savannah and acacia scrub of Amboseli National Park. Heading deep into the park you will encounter large concentrations of elephants, birdlife and other wildlife which are drawn to this area due to a series of large, lush swamplands. Nairobi’s famous Safari Park is your lunch destination today, followed by a drive to Mount Kenya National Park, home to the imposing, extinct volcano, Mount Kenya which dominates the landscape of the Kenyan Highlands. This World Heritage listed national park includes a variety of habitats ranging from higher forest, bamboo, alpine moorlands, glaciers, tarns and glacial morains. This evening enjoy game viewing from the comfort of your lodge which overlooks a waterhole and salt lick that attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo.

Continuing north, we arrive at Shaba National Reserve which lies adjacent to Samburu National Reserve. Popularly known as the “Samburu Ecosystem”, these reserves sustain a variety of free ranging wildlife species. On arrival enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Two Night Stay: Shaba National Reserve
This morning rise early for game viewing in Samburu National Reserve, with its striking backdrop of the Mathews Range. The gently flowing Uaso Nyiro River, which traverses the reserve, is the lifeblood of the area providing water and shade for the diverse wildlife that can be found in this area including reticulated giraffe, elephant, waterbuck, gazelle, buffalo and the rare Grevy’s zebra. This afternoon enjoy a game drive in Shaba National Reserve. In the evening, experience a private cultural dance performance by a local tribe.
Today we journey across the equator to the unique Sweetwaters Game Reserve, a privately held reserve covering some 24,000 acres. Sweetwaters runs its own tree nursery which supports and sustains the natural community. This morning visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya where this highly endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be seen. The aim of the project was to set up a safe, secure and permanent refuge colony where orphaned and isolated chimps could be introduced, rehabilitated and taught to fend for themselves in an area as natural as possible. Two Night Stay: Lake Nakuru National Park
Today we visit Lake Nakuru, home to large flocks of pelicans and pink flamingos and other wildlife. Enjoy lunch with the children for a memorable experience. This afternoon enjoy a game drive.
Continue to Masai Mara National Reserve, where a once in a lifetime experience awaits as you witness the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth - the Great Migration (June - September). It has been recorded that the Masai Mara attracts 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 bird species, and during the annual migration over 1.5 million wildebeest. This afternoon enjoy a game drive through the Masai Mara which is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas.
