Fly to the Galapagos Islands. On arrival, transfer to our cruise ship, MV Galapagos Legend, for the next three nights in an Ocean View Junior Suite. After lunch we cruise to Chinese Hat where we encounter a small colony of sea lions*. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

At Santa Cruz, walk to the lagoon and along the trail to Dragon Hill, for beautiful views of the bay. The area is a nesting site for land iguanas. Continue to Floreana to see the bizarre green coloured beach and the chance to snorkel with the sea lions. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Land at Suarez Point and learn about the inactive lava terrain we are crossing. Many species of birds and animals can be spotted including: a large number of sea lions, waved albatross, crabs and blue-footed boobies. Next we visit the famous blowhole which shoots water almost 23 metres into the air before continuing on to San Cristobal to see the breeding centre for giant tortoises. Today we encounter swallow tailed gulls, sea lions, blue-footed boobies and the magnificent frigate birds. Our cruise ends and we fly to Lima via Guayaquil.

Late morning take a guided tour of Iquitos including a visit to the bustling San Juan Amazonian Indians’ Market. Enjoy lunch at the Al Frio y Al Fuego Floating Restaurant in the middle of the River. Late afternoon, board the exclusive MV Aqua for a three night cruise in a Standard Suite Cabin. As you settle in, we sail toward the Yanayacu River, deep in the heart of Amazonia. Today a range of excursions awaits as you board our comfortable excursion skiffs. We pass fishermen paddling in their dug-out canoes and have the chance to see a great variety of wildlife, including terns, orioles, blackbirds, black collared hawks, monkeys, and sloth. Enjoy a chance to fish for the fearsome, sharp-toothed piranha. Today we enter the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, the largest protected flooded forest of the world. One of the richest places in biological wealth, with a many species of tropical birds, mammals, freshwater fish, reptiles and plants. The reserve is home to species in danger of extinction like the giant otter, the manatee and the pink dolphin of the Amazon. We have a choice of excursions, all led by a Park Ranger. Rise early and view the sun rising over the birthplace of the Amazon River. Here the Ucayali and the Marañon, form the world’s greatest waterway and nature is at its most dramatic. Transfer to Iquitos Airport and fly to Lima.

After breakfast, we fly to Cuzco and travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas where we enjoy a fantastic highlight lunch at the Hacienda Huayoccari whilst admiring the spectacular views. This morning we visit the Andean village of Misinmay, the community supported by Scenic Tours. We meet the students and teachers at the local school to learn about their culture and lifestyle. We continue to the colourful markets at Pisac to snap up a bargain on traditional Peruvian goods. This afternoon we tour Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the entire Americas and discover the imposing Inca fortress which towers high above the town.Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
